Evanescence have announced that their final few tour dates with Halestorm have been rescheduled to January after having "multiple positive COVID tests" in their touring party.

The U.S. tour – which also features Lilith Czar and Plush – will pick back up early next year, while thankfully those affected by coronavirus aren't experiencing "severe" symptoms in the meantime.

"Alright guys, we’re calling it," reads a statement from the band. "We’re going to have to pick up these last few shows in January. We’ve done everything we could to try and make it work but with multiple positive COVID tests in our touring party it just wouldn’t be right to continue the show schedule as is. All the bands and crews have been so diligent with every precaution to keep this from happening but this virus is a real bitch! We are all vaccinated and nobody’s symptoms are severe, we are very grateful for that.

"This tour has been an unforgettable experience that we are so proud of. From the production, to our fantastic crew, to Halestorm and Lilith Czar and Plush – and most of all, to you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to you incredible fans for making this dream a reality, and making it mean so much more than we ever imagined it could. We have locked in the rescheduled show dates and listed them below. We love you!"

Tourmates Halestorm also said in a statement: "We want to send all our love and wish the members of the Evanescence camp who came up positive for COVID a speedy recovery.

"Thank you to all the fans for understanding that we need to interrupt the tour to keep everyone safe.

"But it’s not over yet! We are resuming this sensational tour with all of our friends in January!"

The rescheduled dates are as follows:

January 2022

14 Cincinnati, OH – Heritage Bank Center (originally December 12)
16 Camden, NJ – BB&T Pavilion (originally December 17)
17 Pittsburgh, PA – Peterson Events Center (originally December 14)
20 Worcester, MA – DCU Center (originally December 18)
21 Newark, NJ – Prudential Center (originally December 15)
