Frank Carter has announced a new collaboration with clothing and lifestyle brand P&Co.

The Rattlesnakes frontman has helped craft six items for his own Midnight Shadows collection, which features his own hand-drawn artwork and quotes. There are three different bowling shirts, a graphic T-shirt, a cap and some dice – and it’s something Frank’s incredibly proud of putting together.

“I haven’t done much in the way of collaboration before and to me this collaboration was really important because Jordan and Lee just said I could do whatever I wanted really,” he says. “They just wanted me to come and give a bit of me to the brand.

“Honestly, at first, I was a bit anxious but I made the book [of designs & exploration] and I worked through it. I worked really hard on it too. I don’t think I ever worked that hard on any of my homework, through my entire education. To then see the pieces in the flesh, like brought to life, was a really special moment. They understood what I was trying to put down on paper, and that’s when I understood what the brand was and the artistry behind the brand.

“It was then that I relaxed, and just knew everything was gonna be fine. It was all gonna be good.

It’s difficult when one person has a vision and then you have to trust it, but it was nice. I’ve gotten really lucky with that in music. I’ve been able to work with amazing partners who understand my vision, but also bring their own. Through that I’ve realised that for something to be really magic, it needs to be emboldened by the creative process itself and that melding of different minds. And that’s what I found with P&Co. Honestly, I hope it’s a relationship that we have for a long time. It’s exciting.”

Frank’s Midnight Shadows collection will launch at his own studio at 152-154 Hoxton Street, London, N1 6SH tomorrow (Friday, August 4), and it’ll hit the internet at 2pm the same day.
