Following the single's release via The Suicide Squad trailer in June, grandson and Jessie Reyez have shared a gripping, cinematic new video for Rain.

In a cleverly edited promo featuring clips from the movie itself, the pair get in on the action alongside the likes of Harley Quinn, Bloodsport and Peacemaker, battling the bad guys and perhaps even securing themselves a couple of spots in the Squad should they ever become available…

"Shooting the music video for Rain gave me the opportunity to slaughter a bunch of stunt men with a battle axe and be a rockstar on the same day," enthuses grandson. "It was unbelievably fun, and after a year stuck inside, I think this movie is a much needed opportunity for us to just turn our brains off and watch some shit blow up with our friends. This song captures some of that energy, but still addresses the very real issue of how to take your trauma and learn from it; to alchemise your pain into something profound."

“The music video is a movie," adds Jessie. "A movie for a movie. It’s only right."

Previously, grandson explained of Rain that it is "the theme song for making sense of personal tragedy".

"Through this track, I hope others find reassurance that whatever difficulty they’re going through leads to a broader, fuller perspective on life’s beauty somewhere down the road," he said.
