“Ecstatic is an understatement!” Tonight Alive reveal London reunion gig
Returning Aussie pop-punks Tonight Alive will be appearing at Slam Dunk this spring – and they’ve just announced a London headline date with Greywind…
Greywind have announced their second LP, Severed Heart City, which they call a place “where it’s okay to be sad, depressed and feel like the whole world is against you”.
Following 2017 debut Afterthoughts, Greywind have just announced their second album Severed Heart City.
Due out on September 19 via FLG, the emo duo – Steph and Paul O’Sullivan – have been through a lot since their initial breakout, and they reveal that they’re channelling it all into this long-awaited record. “Severed Heart City is an extended allegory for the stages of trauma, and one’s inner struggle to find resolution,” reads a joint statement from the band. “There are many roads that lead to the heart of this broken city, but there is only one bridge out – one of acceptance and hope.
“Our band was created after the suicide of our uncle and since then we’ve been on an intense journey of achieving some of our biggest dreams to then having everything ripped away from us. Severed Heart City is a place where it’s okay to be sad, depressed and feel like the whole world is against you but it’s also a place where you make sure none of those things ever make you give up on yourself or your dreams. Only you can save yourself.”
To coincide with the announcement, Greywind have unleashed new single Waterfall, which you can check out below:
