Hayley Williams shares health update, and reveals Paramore have been in the studio

After a seriously nasty lung infection and a couple of cancelled shows earlier this month, Hayley Williams has revealed that she doesn’t “cough all day and night anymore” and is “just happy to be resting” right now.

In a new update posted to Paramore’s Discord, the vocalist told fans that her stomach is still feeling the effects of having to take “10 kinds of medication”, but chilling out and binging the likes of “Yellowjackets, 3 or 4 music docs, They Cloned Tyrone, A Good Person” has seemingly helped her in the process of starting to get better from her illness.

In other equally positive news, Hayley also said that this unplanned downtime has resulted in the band hitting the studio, and they’ll be doing more of the same when they get back home to Nashville, too (and when they get properly back into a creative mode, Hayley ponders that she’ll likely take a “social media/internet sabbatical”).

“Zac and Taylor and I also just want to get back to making things,” Hayley revealed. “Not only the creative process but the layer(s) of insulation that can come with the creative process. For me, when we get into this mode it always feels nice to disappear this way. Maybe this time I will be able to find balance between the disappearing and yet not completely shutting out the world. But probably not.”
