Album review: Kid Bookie – Songs For The Living // Songs For The Dead
Kid Bookie holds up a mirror to every side of himself on chaotic yet skilful third LP, Songs For The Living // Songs For The Dead.
The first wave of artists for this year’s Hoodstock Festival has been announced, with Kid Bookie, Chubby And The Gang, The Chisel, Middleman and more heading to London’s Colour Factory.
Hoodstock Festival have made their first line-up announcement for 2023 – and it’s already looking absolutely killer.
The DIY fest – which comes from the minds of Deijuvhs and Fuzzbrain Studios – takes place at London’s Colour Factor on September 1, and will help raise money for a great cause: the Hoodstock Fund, for young musicians.
Getting in on the action for 2023, the festival’s third year, are the likes of Kid Bookie, Chubby And The Gang, The Chisel, Middleman, Island of Love and Onoe Caponoe, with more to be announced.
“This year’s Hoodstock is our biggest one yet,” says founder Ben Spence. “We wanted to put one night together showing off all our favourite artists and raise as much money for the fund as possible. We’ve worked with over 40 young artists so far off the back of last year’s fundraising, help us work with more and give London’s young people the chance to shape their culture.”
