Korn’s Munky says they’ve written nearly 40 songs for their next album
Korn's guitarist James 'Munky' Shaffer has given an update on the band's fifteenth album and shed light on the departure of long-time bassist Fieldy.

Korn have seemingly started work on the follow-up to 2016's The Serenity Of Suffering.
Drummer Ray Luzier has revealed that they're in Nashville's Rock Falcon Studio with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Deftones, Foo Fighters), having been teasing – along with the rest of the band – that they were writing a record.
Excellent news.
Frontman Jonathan Davis released his solo album Black Labyrinth in May.
Ahead of the release, we caught up with the Korn frontman to chat about his life and career to date, where, amongst other things, he revealed he'd like to write a musical.
"I would love to write a musical!" he told K!. "A long time ago, I was talking to [English writer, director and artist] Clive Barker about doing a dark, fucked-up musical, but people get busy and it didn’t happen. It’s definitely on my bucket list to do a really dark, metal musical – not some stupid-ass one."
