Listen to BONES UK’s elegant cover of The Smashing Pumpkins’ Cherub Rock

BONES UK are saluting The Smashing Pumpkins with their stripped-back cover of Cherub Rock.

The cover appears on the forthcoming Smashing Pumpkins covers album Sending Hearts To All My Dearies, which arrives on streaming services next Friday (August 14)

With a name chosen by Billy Corgan himself in reference to a line in the classic Pumpkins song Mayonaise, the album’s got an all-star cast. So far, we’ve heard new versions of their hits by Tame Impala, Yonaka, Des Rocs and Between The Buried And Me, and there’s covers to come from Palaye Royale, Carpenter Brut, Nita Strauss and more.

Meanwhile, Billy will be back in the UK next month as part of a tour featuring “orchestral and operatic” reimaginings of the songs from their classic album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
