After teasing studio sessions with MOD SUN, John Feldmann and Machine Gun Kelly, Avril Lavigne's new collaboration with the former two musicians has arrived: Flames.

The beautifully anthemic single – which hears the pop-punk princess belting out lyrics like 'I still burn for you / Like the sun burns in the sky' – was written by MOD SUN, Avril and Goldfinger legend/producing titan John, and is taken from MOD SUN's upcoming fourth studio album, the follow-up to 2017's BB. And, given prior photos of the trio together also including MGK, presumably there is even more to come, too…

It's a busy month for MOD SUN: on top of unveiling Flames, the Tickets To My Downfall-inspired pop-punk musical that he helped write and direct with Machine Gun Kelly, Downfalls High, is arriving on January 15.

“It was almost like shooting 14 music videos back-to-back, but with a narrative that’s outside of my personal life stories,” MGK revealed. “It focuses on other characters, and then me and Travis [Barker, blink-182] are just the narrators. It’s an interesting concept because it hasn’t been done for an album ever, maybe outside of like Pink Floyd’s The Wall.”

Can't wait. Until then, stream Flames below:

Check out the lyrics to Flames below:

I still burn for you
Like the sun burns in the sky
I still burn for you
I still burn for you
My whole life I’ve been on fire
I still burn for you
Up in flames, up in flames
light a match and put it to my name
Up in flames, I still burn for you
Every time I think I had enough of this
I get more addicted yeah I’m so obsessed
Talk about you all the time, I am you narcissist
Well, if we burn it down you’ll be my arsonist
I’m so strung out on you I might relapse
I’m dying for a taste, please god don’t let this last
And you’ve been burning all of the leaves on palm trees, I’m left with nothing more than ashes
Falling to the ground like snowflakes, I almost wish we never happened
