Ahead of their highly-anticipated Download set this weekend, Spitting Glass have unveiled a unsparing new single, Full Send, featuring Rhys Griffiths of Mourn.

It’s only the second single have put out, following April's 1HP, and it arrives amid a mountain of hype that's been building since the band were announced for the Dogtooth Stage at Download without having released any music.

The band say the new track “explores more of a relatable topic we can all sing the tune to”, explaining: “We all have that person in our life that is like a pot hole in the road, that never gets repaired, but you still have to drive down.

“Dethroning the idea that this person has power over you, when it reality they don’t. Ultimately a process of reclaiming power of your own mind.”

For the uninitiated, Spitting Glass is made up of Fit For An Autopsy vocalist Joe Bad, plus fellow musicians Reuben Bescoby, Danny Yates, Chris Keepin and David Ball.

Ahead of Download, they’re playing their first live shows this week, starting at London’s Underworld tomorrow (June 9) with support from Harbinger, Beyond Extinction, Shields and Tribe Of Ghosts.

They’ll then head on to Manchester’s Deaf Institute on June 10 with Undeath and Godeater and Glasgow’s G2 on June 11. Next week, they’ll be opening for Thrown at Brighton’s Concorde 2 and Norwich’s Waterfront on June 15 and 16 respectively.
