This year's Brutal Assault festival lineup is looking pretty great already. Municipal Waste, Behemoth, Unsane, At The Gates, Helmet, Dying Fetus, Saint Vitus and other (very) metal heavyweights are going to be there, as well as hardcore acts like Terror, H2O, Integrity and Nasty among others. There's something for everyone!
The festival is happening 8-11th August and will once again will take place at Fortress Josefov, a large historic defence complex of 18th-century military architecture, built between 1780-1790, in Jaroměř, eastern Bohemia, Czech Republic. It's a great setting for a metal festival:
After the success in previous years, a special fourth stage should return this year, where experimental and ambient music will be played.
Brutal Assault is one of the biggest metal festivals in Europe. It was created in the mid-1990s as a small event in Moravia and moved around for a few years. In 2007 the festival settled in Josefov, where it remains today. Last year's festival, which sold out in presale for the first time, attracted 20,000 fans from around the world.
