Just a couple of weeks ago, Ozzy Osbourne announced that he’d made the “painful” decision to cancel his first planned performance in five years – at September’s Power Trip – due to his health and his body telling him that “I’m just not ready yet”.

Yesterday (July 24), The Prince Of Darkness shared his first health update since then, revealing that he’d recently had a filter in his artery removed, which had initially been put there due to “blood clots in my legs”. This filter is meant to “stop the blood clots going to your heart and your brain”, according to Ozzy.

Chatting on his Ozzy Speaks SiriusXM show, he told co-host Billy Morrison that he was “battling through”. Speaking about the removal of the blood clot filter, he said: “The blood clots have jammed you all up. It’s just disappointment after disappointment. Just get this thing fucking done so I can go get on with my life.” (via Revolver)

Back in February, Ozzy cancelled all of his future touring plans completely, explaining of the health struggles he’s been through: “My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back onstage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.”

He added: “Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way. My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.”

Earlier this month, Judas Priest were announced as Ozzy’s replacement at Power Trip.
