Following some This Is Why-related teasing, Paramore have just announced a remix album (well… “almost”), due for release this Friday.

The trio’s brilliant 2023 record will be getting the remix treatment on October 6, with Re: This Is Why consisting of collaborations with “some of the artists who’ve influenced us as a band and/or who have cited our band as an influence” – though those names haven’t been revealed yet.

Teasing what’s to come musically, Paramore add: “Re: This Is Why is almost a remix album. Some of the songs have been remixed sort of classically, while others were reworked or rewritten.”

Read their full statement announcing the LP: “We’ve long wanted to recognize the connection we have with some of the artists who’ve influenced us as a band and/or who have cited our band as an influence. Re: This Is Why is almost a remix album. Some of the songs have been remixed sort of classically, while others were reworked or rewritten. It’s incredible to hear all our worlds colliding. Out 10/6. Paramore will return to the UK next year supporting Taylor Swift.
