Parkway Drive Headline The First Ever K! Pit

Kerrang! filmed the carnage and will stream it tomorrow.

Blondies in East London is our favourite dive bar. It holds around 50 people if you’re lucky, it has no stage and it serves a fine selection of beverages that we’re rather fond of. All these elements make it the perfect venue to host the most intimate shows on the planet. Welcome, then, to what we’ve called The K! Pit.

This is the kind of gig where the divide between the audience and the band themselves is non-existent, and things get reasonably out of control. While putting on a show of this size is all well and good, the aim is also to allow an audience around the world to watch the chaos unfold. Which is why Kerrang! films, edits, mixes and then streams every K! Pit show we put on.

We’re delighted that the first band to cram themselves into this three-foot wide space are mighty Australian metal crew Parkway Drive who kindly agreed to help us launch the series.

In town to promote their widely-acclaimed new album, Reverence, Winston McCall and his band of brothers delivered a short, sharp and utterly precise set, all of which was captured for your viewing pleasure.

Parkway Drive’s set will be streamed tomorrow, April 26, via Kerrang!’s Facebook page at 5:30pm GMT.

The band also grace the cover of this week’s issue of Kerrang! which can be purchased here.
