Placebo to embark on massive 30th anniversary headline tour
Placebo will celebrate 30 years of their self-titled debut (plus 1998 second album Without You I’m Nothing) with a huge European and UK tour at the end of 2026.
Watch the teaser trailer for Placebo’s upcoming live release, which features performances from Mexico, Spain and London on their Never Let Me Go cycle.
In less than a month’s time, Placebo will be unveiling their first (yes, really!) official live release.
Simply entitled Placebo Live, the collection will arrive on December 15 via SO Recordings and it features performances from Mexico, Spain and London during their cycle for latest album Never Let Me Go.
Up first we’ve got Collapse Into Never: Placebo Live In Europe 2023, which was recorded live at Low Festival in Spain and comes as a double vinyl; elsewhere there’s also a feature-length Blu-ray concert film, This Is What You Wanted, and then a live CD called Live From The White Room – which was captured at Studio 1 Twickenham Studios and consists of seven songs from Never Let Me Go.
As for why it’s all coming out now? A press release simply states that, ‘In 2023, one of the great live bands of the last 25 years finally gets the live album release they deserve. Placebo Live reasserts why their show continues to be the essential experience that it always has been.’
