Rammstein Postpone Entire European Tour

Rammstein's upcoming European stadium tour will be rescheduled

Rammstein Postpone Entire European Tour

Rammstein have been forced to postpone the entirety of their upcoming European stadium tour.

The German industrialists' continental tour was due to kick off later this month in Austria before rolling through the UK in June and climaxing in Scandinavia at the end of July.

Posting a statement on social media, Rammstein say: "Due to local event restrictions related to COVID-19, which now affect almost all planned dates, the band's 2020 stadium tour can unfortunately not take place.

"We are currently checking whether it is possible to reschedule the dates and will communicate any updates as soon as possible!

"All tickets will remain valid until then. Thank you again for your understanding and patience."

The news comes just less than a month after the band announced they were "working on a solution for this difficult situation."

New dates are yet to be announced, but earlier this week, experts warned that gigs and festivals in the UK were unlikely to return until 2021.

“The government has cost the country billions to get the transmission rate right down, and we know that a very good catalyst for spreading the thing and amplifying cases is getting loads of people together again, and that’s exactly what goes on at concerts, matches, and other kinds of parties," said Cambridge University lecturer Dr Chris Smith.

“So I can’t see them saying, ‘You know what, we think everyone needs a party’ – it’s too soon.”
