It’s been almost a decade since Skrillex’s 2014 debut Recess, but it looks like the DJ and From First To Last frontman will be making up for lost time in 2023.

The musician – real name Sonny Moore – has started teasing his next chapter in a big way, confirming that his collab with Fred again.. and Flowdan, entitled Rumble, is arriving on January 4.

In even bigger news, though, Skrillex is very likely releasing a double album this year. Not only has he taken to social media to preview snippets of a whole lotta music, it’s also intriguingly captioned QFF/DGTC 2023. Breaking that down, fans aren’t quite sure what ‘QFF’ stands for just yet, but ‘DGTC’ quite possibly references a tweet from October 2022 which says ‘don’t get too close’ (new album title?). And then, of course, 2023 should mean the year (this year!).

Excitingly, on Twitter, Skrillex’s QFF/DGTC 2023 tweet was reposted by Circa Survive/L.S. Dunes frontman Anthony Green, who wrote: “Honored to be apart of this record. It’s a masterpiece. Thanks for letting me work on it with you.” Whoa!
