Following 2008’s Fast Times At Barrington High, The Academy Is… will unveil their brand-new record Almost There at the end of March.

The Academy Is… have announced their first new album in 18 years, Almost There.

Due out on March 27 via I Surrender Records, the long-awaited LP is the follow-up to 2008’s Fast Times At Barrington High, and is teased in a press release as having the ‘emotional intensity that defined their early work while embracing a more expansive, mature approach to songwriting’.

Leading man William Beckett explains that, “[2005 debut album] Almost Here was the beginning. Almost There is the reflection. It’s about checking in with who you thought you’d be 20 years later, seeing what changed, what stuck, and what still feels like home.”
