Frank Carter Has Covered Miley Cyrus’ Nothing Breaks Like A Heart
As Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes prepare to wrap up a whirlwind year, the band have thrown fans one last curveball before 2019 comes to a close.
The band have just shared a pretty brilliant cover of Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus’ 2018 hit Nothing Breaks Like A Heart, adapting the country-disco tones of the original and giving it a more punk rock feel.
While the choice of cover may be surprising to some, Frank and co. are constantly open to inspiration from all angles – and it’s a mindset that helped them write this year’s End Of Suffering album.
“The intention whenever we write is to make a song that’s classic, and that means a lot to us,” the frontman told Kerrang! earlier in the year. “Music is our therapy, and Dean [Richardson, guitar] and I have got an amazing relationship where we trust each other implicitly in what we’re doing. For us, I guess we were trying to find ourselves a little bit. We’ve both been through quite a few changes in our lives, and Rattlesnakes has been one of the most positive ones, and I think the main thing we wanted to do was do justice to ourselves, you know?

“We wanted to try and find a way to really give back,” the frontman continued. “Everybody has given us this really amazing life; fans have been buying our records, coming to our shows, streaming our music. They’ve enabled us to have this life that we’ve always wanted, and we just wanted to do a good service to them by putting out the best music we could. And it just happened that when we were writing, it was really relaxing and natural, and the collection of songs that you’ll hear is what came out.”
