Listen To Slipknot's Earliest Demo Recordings From 1995

These days, Slipknot are a multi-faceted international force within the metal scene. But like all bands, Slipknot were once a bunch of dudes in some town grinding out music they never knew would change the world. Now, the band's earliest demo recordings, featuring former vocalist Anders Colsefni, have surfaced online, and they prove solidly that the band were always heavy as hell.

The songs were recorded before the band's 1996 debut Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat., and as you'll hear in the recordings below, Anders is definitely going for more of a traditional Exhorder/Pantera/Fear Factory vocal sound at the time. He doesn't have quite the range that Corey Taylor does – it's hard to beat the best – but he definitely has the roar. While some of the songs are unfamiliar, an early recording of Tattered and Torn from the band's 1999 self-titled album is included hereon.

According to Loudwire, a caption for the video, which now appears to have been changed, read, "This is the original demo which was given by Paul [Gray] to a close friend. After owning the demo for 20+ years, that friend sold the demo in 2018. Without Paul's friend, aka Jubil Lee, chances are this demo would have never seen the light of day."

Here's the tracklist:

1. Some Feel
2. Fur
3. Tattered and Torn
4. Part Of Me
