Ozzy Osbourne On His Health And Living In Quarantine

Ozzy Osbourne is slowly but surely” recovering from his recent health struggles in lockdown with his family.

In early 2020, Ozzy Osbourne told Kerrang! that he had experienced the worst fucking year of my life” following surgery after a fall, pneumonia, and then being diagnosed with a form of Parkinson’s disease.

Now, The Prince Of Darkness has offered an update on his health – and thankfully the 71-year-old heavy metal icon says that he’s slowly but surely” getting better while resting at home in quarantine with his family.

I’m getting better – it’s a slow process, but I’m getting there slowly but surely,” Ozzy reveals via Zoom on Sharon Osbourne’s CBS show The Talk, while sat with his wife and daughter, Kelly.

It’s been good actually, because I’ve been recovering from the surgery I had last year,” he continues, discussing the benefits he’s felt from lockdown. I’ve never been at home this long in my whole career.”

Ozzy added: I’ve had the chance to see my wife’s side of the fence more than me being on the road. It’s had its moment, though, I must confess.”

One of the many downsides to lockdown, however, is that Ozzy’s planned trip to Switzerland in April for Parkinson’s disease treatment was cancelled.

We had to cancel our trip to Switzerland. We were meant to go on April 8 for his treatment, but we had to cancel,” Sharon said at the time.

We’re just hanging in like everybody else – just trying to stay away and be quiet and just hold in there. I honestly find this such frightening times. I just think it’s a really, really frightening time to be alive.”
