Tom Morello Releases New EP Featuring Slash Guest Appearance And Eddie Van Halen Tribute

Listen to Rage Against The Machine guitar god Tom Morello’s new five-track EP, Comandante.

Tom Morello has paid tribute to the late Eddie Van Halen and engaged in an epic guitar battle with Slash for his surprise new five-song EP, Comandante.

The release – which also features a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s Voodoo Child – comes after Rage Against The Machine shared their official The Battle Of Mexico City live set on streaming earlier this week, basically meaning that it’s a great time to be a Tom Morello fan right now.

As well as paying tribute to Eddie Van Halen on Comandante track Secretariat, Tom said of the 65-year-old following his death that Van Halen’s guitarist was “one of the greatest, most inventive, truly visionary musicians of all time. An unparalleled titan in the annals of rock’n’roll. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every spectacular note.”
