Tom Morello has just announced a solo headline date in London.

For the Rage Against The Machine guitar god’s long-awaited return to the UK (he last played here in 2019 supporting Muse), Tom will be heading to Camden’s 1,500-capacity Electric Ballroom on Thursday, June 13.

Of course, the gig is taking place just two days before he makes his return to Download Festival, where he’ll be performing on the Opus Stage on Saturday, June 15 (get your tickets here).

He’s also set to play a couple of European shows with The Smashing Pumpkins in the summer, not to mention all the big rock and metal fests on this side of the pond.

So it’s a busy year for Tom, then, following the apparent split of Rage at the start of 2024.

“I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new tour dates for all the cancelled RATM shows,” said Brad Wilk a few months ago. “I don’t want to string people or myself along further. So while there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future… I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again. I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was…”
