Tool Reveal Album Release Date

This is it, everyone. New Tool is coming this year and it's sooner than you think!

Posting a short video clip on Twitter, Tool revealed that their new album would be released on August 30. There's no other information than that, other than the number 2019 in Roman numerals, which for all we know could be the title of the album at this rate. Let's face it, it's been quite the cryptic journey until this point.

This weekend Tool played two brand new songs at Welcome To Rockville festival. Dubbed Invincible and Descending, you can watch fan footage of both tracks now, but surely there will be a studio single ahead of the LP. Although who knows, this is Tool we're talking about.

Last week, an official artist profile was added to streaming services, sparking excitement that Tool's back catalogue could finally be coming Spotify, Apple Music etc.

Tool are headlining this year's Download festival in the UK on June 14-16. Get your tickets now.
