Watch Alex Green Stand For 24hrs Against Addiction

Ex-Attention Thieves bloke Alex Green stood in London’s Piccadilly Circus for 24 hours and turned it into a time-lapse video.

The video – filmed on April 23 – is for his new song Travelled Far, and the stunt was to raise awareness for mental health. All proceeds of the track will be donated to charity for addiction and mental health.

Alex starved and dehydrated himself before the shoot – presumably to avoid toilet trips.

Purchase the song here and watch the video below.

“I have had friends die and several that have been or continue to need rehab,” explained Alex of the song. “And I personally have struggled with addiction which lead to a heart attack at 27 – which Kerrang! previously covered.

On the flip side I wanted to create a music video that coincides with the song’s context, that visually portrays the message and to produce an artistic statement, something different from just another guy/girl story in a music video. I wanted to take suffering for your art to the next level!

It’s for a good cause and it’s something very close to my heart. The whole thing might seem a little nuts to people, but maybe I am a little bit!”
