Trivium frontman Matthew Kiichi Heafy has created the original soundtrack for slasher comic series True Believers – and you can stream opening single Dance Of The Dead now.
Trivium’s Matt Heafy has just unleashed a very surprising new song, Dance Of The Dead.
The synthy banger is the first effort from the 30-minute soundtrack to slasher comic series True Believers, which is due out on April 24 and according to a press release ‘slams together Heafy’s skull-crushing guitar riffs and pummeling intensity with spine-chilling, synth-drenched vibes that scream John Carpenter’s horror legacy, where Halloween meets a mosh-pit’.
Matt confirmed his involvement in the project just over a year ago, asking: “Ever heard a soundtrack to an incredible slasher comic/graphic novel?! Having grown up on comics and graphic novels, when I first was introduced to True Believers and [writer] Josh Viola, I was inspired by the crazy idea of scoring the incredible series. Well, here is the announcement!”
