TX2 has released a new double single
Comprised of a previously-teased track and a brand-new one, listen to TX2’s double single: Eat My Heart and Prescription For Love.
"Confession was my chance to regain that power I felt like I lost when I first realized I wasn’t straight," Evan Thomas says, with TX2 bassist Corky singing alongside him on the new single.
TX2 is getting personal on his new single Confession, which digs into the shame Evan Thomas felt growing up queer in a religious community.
After dropping debut album End Of Us in February, TX2 has kept the new music coming with double single Eat My Heart and Prescription For Love, which are now being followed up with Confession.
Bassist Corky, who has had similar experiences to Evan in this regard, is also singing on the track alongside him.
“I grew up religious, and as a queer person when I was growing up I struggled hard with my sexuality. I thought there was a demon in me and something was wrong,” he says. “Then I realized the problem wasn’t me, it was religion directly conflicting with science and my attraction.
"Confession was my chance to regain that power I felt like I lost when I first realized I wasn’t straight. For Corky on the other hand, it’s much more. She spent even longer feeling guilty and trapped and this is her chance to let it out. This song is powerful to us.”
