While Avril Lavigne's new album Love Sux is due out soon, unfortunately fans in the UK and Europe are going to have to wait over a year now to hear it live.
The singer's planned 19-date February and March run will now be happening in April and May 2023, with the blame for this postponement of course falling to the pandemic, and the many different restrictions in place.
"I have some unfortunate news to share with you all about my UK and European dates," reads a statement from Avril. "I have to make the difficult decision to postpone this tour until 2023. Due to the ongoing issues surrounding the pandemic, there are a series of travel and venue restrictions from country to country that have made the tour not possible to happen.
"It’s not an easy decision, but it’s one that will help ensure that we are able to play every single date of the tour, put on the best show possible at full capacity, and operate in a safe environment. It breaks my heart to do this, but I know it will be worth the wait.
"The tour is now rescheduled for April – May 2023. All existing tickets are valid for the new dates."
