Self-described ‘metal boyband’ Banks Arcade have announced their heaviest-ever EP.

Entitled DEATH 2, the record is due out on February 2, 2024 via UNFD, and it promises to show “the darkest side of Banks Arcade” according to the Aussie four-piece.

“It’s the heaviest this band will ever venture and it explores the most chaotic elements from the different genres we enjoy,” they say. “With each song exploring death and disorder in a different way it paints a visceral picture that is symbolic of change and the shedding of the bands previous self.”

They’re previewing the release with new single More Want, which “was written in a time where I was dealing with a lot of darkness and felt I was losing a grip on my sanity. The song was written in a frenzy and highlights chaotic self-talk and someone who is on the edge of breaking. Every aspect of the song was made to highlight a volatile state of mind be aggressive and disconcerting.”
