On Saturday evening past (February 3), Architects played a momentous, sold out headline show at Alexandra Palace, confirming once and for all that the five-piece are among our most cherished, homegrown metal talents. In what was an extremely emotionally-charged night, the passion of the band's performance found its equal in the 10,000-strong fans' love that poured forth towards the stage and stretched out to every corner of Ally Pally's huge live room.

For all in attendance it was a show as ferocious as it was unforgettable. A full review will follow in the pages of next week's Kerrang! of course, but for now, check out the images photographer Ed Mason captured on the evening, for a sample of just what made this such a special occasion.
