Courtney Love has shared that she approved the use of Nirvana's Rape Me in the brilliant latest episode of Succession.

The In Utero track was hilariously blasted during a town hall meeting at Waystar RoyCo in episode three, The Disruption, of the HBO show's already-great third season, appropriately reminding viewers (and those in attendance of the meeting) of the company's very questionable history.

And Courtney has said she think's that her late husband Kurt Cobain would have been "proud" of the whole thing, sharing a clip on her Instagram stories and writing (via Variety): "I was in the room watching (agog) as this song was written in about an hour, and I’ve never been so proud of approving one of Kurt’s songs, this cue in Succession is as if they truly understood kc what he was screaming his heart out… without specifics… about. I’m sure wherever he is he’s proud of this .”

She also posted on Twitter: "I’ve never felt so good about approving a usage of a song of Kurt’s. You understood this: him, it’s beautiful. I’m sure he’s proud," adding: "Ask me who it’s about one day. I might even tell you."
