After dropping summer single Black Metal to coincide with Reading & Leeds, Deijuvhs has unleashed his second new track of 2024.
Entitled Lotus, this one hears the East Londoner clearly taking influence from the mighty Deftones, while also throwing in his own trap and drum’n’bass flavours towards the end. Spoiler: the results are awesome.
“I wanted this song to sound like the film Queen Of The Damned,” he says. “Sexy and vampiric.”

In his joint Kerrang! Cover Story last year discussing his generation of genre-bursting artists, Deijuvhs said: “The internet is an amalgamation… everything is being taken everywhere. We look at the old, steal it, make it new. Everyone’s been doing it forever. In 20 years, people will do the same to you.”
Before that, the first time we met Deijuvhs in June 2023, he shared of how his own personal influences impact his music: “I don’t listen to many different things. I might get a melody from an old-school garage song but then I’ll add some nu-metal in there. I mix them and bind my influences. With some songs I think, ‘How the hell did that influence come from this?!’ It’s probably from some left-field shit and then I put it into my own thing.”
