From Metallica and Melvins to Bolt Thrower and Bathory, these are the 50 greatest rock and metal albums released in 1991…
Gulch’s cover of the Pixies’ Monkey Gone To Heaven – one of their final-ever recordings – will soon see the light of day via the post-apocalyptic What’s The Furthest Place From Here? series.
As Gulch gear up to call things a day in just a couple of months' time, the band will be releasing one of their final-ever recordings – a cover of the Pixies’ Monkey Gone To Heaven – as part of new comic series What's the Furthest Place From Here?.
The awesome post-apocalyptic run (which is "A story about the things that matter most – Your survival, your loved ones, and your record collection") comes from the team behind 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank, Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Boss, and includes exclusive vinyl singles to soundtrack every issue – from Jawbreaker to NOTHING to Joyce Manor, and indeed, Gulch.
"We knew whatever we did after 4 Kids would have to be something ambitious and crazy, but we also needed it to feel like something that only Tyler and I could make," explains Matthew. "I feel like we really accomplished all of that here."
"Matt and I really wanted to get outside of our comfort zone with this book and build it in a new and (hopefully) exciting way," continues Tyler. "Part of that was being unafraid to try something different and the other part was having a partner in Image who believed in us. Couldn't be happier to have our weird little big book's home be with Image."
