Are Faith No More making a comeback in 2027?
Potentially epic news (ahem) is on the way from the Faith No More camp, despite its members repeatedly casting doubt over their future in recent months.
After teasing their live comeback this week, Faith No More bassist Bill Gould has confirmed they'll be touring again from the beginning of 2027.
It’s official! Faith No More are playing their first live shows in a decade in 2027, their bassist Bill Gould has confirmed.
The band sent the internet into hysteria earlier this week when they shared a graphic of a crowd with their star logo superimposed on top, with the caption ‘2027’.
Their bassist Bill Gould has now confirmed during an interview on the Rock Talk podcast that the band are indeed reuniting live for their first live shows since 2016.
"We're gonna do it," he says. "We're gonna play. We're definitely going to be in Europe. We're definitely going to be in South America, and Australia, and the US... I think probably our shows will start around like January or February next year."
At one point, more Faith No More shows looked impossible. Just a few months ago, Mike Patton suggested the band was done for good when he said the band collectively felt after the 2016 tour that their time was over.
"I think that we all kind of felt it, but it was unspoken,” he said. “And it's funny: when you've been in a band or a musical situation for a period of time, you always, in the back of your head, you're kind of thinking, 'Well, maybe this is it.' And I don't mind that feeling. I don't see it as a sad thing. I see it as being present and being able to really appreciate it while it's happening."
Whatever’s changed, these could make for some of next year’s most exciting live dates.
