Following the release of their latest album The Battle At Garden's Gate in April, Greta Van Fleet have announced several special live shows for later in the year.

The band will be performing at venues in Franklin, TN; Bridgeport, CT; Chicago, IL; and Los Angeles, CA in 2021 for their only headline shows of the year in what they've dubbed Strange Horizons.

"It is truly a monumental time in history to be able to perform again," they say in a statement. "We are honoured to experience these special shows with all of those who will be in attendance. Let us, once again, come together and celebrate the privilege of life!” Hear, hear.

Speaking to Kerrang! recently about the lack of touring throughout the pandemic and if GVF have found anything to 'replace' that feeling of playing live, Sam Kiszka shared, "We’ve had to switch gears and read or paint or whatever. But then of course, there’s that that piece of you that’s missing, which is playing live in front of people. And then touring, that’s a whole other piece. We’ve gotten close to that, the feeling [of playing live]. We’ve done a few stream things, but that’s kind of an artistic statement of playing live and creating the set and the feeling and how it’s filmed and everything. And that’s great fun. And that’s very close to the idea of touring, but you can’t replace it.”
