“The flagship of that song is irreverence”: Greta Van Fleet return with new single, Play Your Games

After spooking their fans into thinking they were breaking up, Greta Van Fleet have ended their period of inactivity with new single Play Your Games.

The band made a triumphant comeback earlier this week with an intimate show at the Bowery Ballroom - their first live show since 2024 - confirming that they weren’t parting ways after all.

Now, they’ve got new music to share inspired by an old demo of theirs that they rediscovered, which is their first new release since their last album Starcatcher came out in 2023.

“The flagship of that song is irreverence,” guitarist Jake Kiszka explains. “It’s this beautiful nature of seizing a moment.”
