It appears as though Welsh post-hardcore faves Holding Absence are getting ready for their next era.

Having concluded their first run of of records – 2019’s self-titled debut, 2021’s The Greatest Mistake Of My Life and 2023’s The Noble Art Of Self Destruction – they’ve recently taken to social media to share a Studio Ghibli-esque video with the words, “You have completed the trilogy! Would you like to continue?” In the comments, Lucas Woodland happily answers, “Yes, we would like to continue.” (Phew – us too!)

Of course, the singer has been busy lately fronting Funeral For A Friend, but it’s clear he’s also found the time to hit the studio with his HA bandmates – indeed, in a post on New Year’s Eve, their official accounts confirmed that, “Holding Absence will return in 2026.” Watch this space…
