Tenacious D release official Wicked Game cover, plus majestic music video
Tenacious D’s cover of Chris Isaak’s classic Wicked Game has gotten an official studio release – and an accompanying video that pays tribute to the raunchy original.
Following the release of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Jack Black has shared an official music video for his hugely popular Bowser power ballad, Peaches.
When Jack Black pretty much does anything online, it tends to go viral – and that rings true for his latest venture: a brilliant new music video for his ballad from the newly-released Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Already clocking at over 6 million views on YouTube, the Tenacious D frontman’s song Peaches – which was co-written by Jack, plus the film’s directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, along with Eric Osmond and John Spiker – hears Jack as his character Bowser reflecting on his absolute love for Princess Peach (played by Anya Taylor-Joy). Even more amusingly, Peaches will actually be eligible for Best Original Song at next year’s Oscars, as reported by Variety.
Watch Jack Black’s video for Peaches, in which he’s wearing a rather fetching Bowser-esque green suit, below:
