Following Monday’s Lux Æterna and Tuesday’s Holier Than Thou, Metallica one-upped themselves for the third night of their Jimmy Kimmel Live residency this week: by playing Master Of Puppets.

Rather than having to chop anything down for the sake of TV, host Jimmy introduces “the epic song of monster proportions” and the metal heroes then proceed to perform the iconic single in its eight-and-a-half-minute entirety (in fact, it’s so long than when you watch on YouTube you’ll get an ad break in the middle of the video).

Metallica have got one more performance scheduled on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week – and we can’t wait to see what it is.
