Panic! At The Disco Play Trumpet Made Of Bullet Casings To Raise Gun Violence Awareness

Panic! At The Disco played a very special instrument onstage while touring the United States. Dubbed the Instrument Of Hope, it is a trumpet made of discarded bullet casings, with the aim of "keeping the gun violence conversation on the main stage" according to its official Instagram.

Chris Bautista played the Instrument Of Hope with Panic! At The Disco recently in California.

"It was an honour to have [Chris Bautista] play the Instrument of Hope out on tour," posted the band on Instagram. "The trumpet is made out of discarded bullet casings by Josh Landress in conjunction with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas/Parkland shooting survivors. Musicians, help spread the message to end gun violence."

The Instrument Of Hope was created by students at Stoneman Douglas High School, where a gunman murdered 17 students and staff last year.

"What legends to be the first to step up to play the Instrument Of Hope," posted Shine MSD on Instagram (the account for those who made the trumpet. "We are so grateful for you helping to keep the gun violence conversation on the main stage."
