Poppy unleashes crushingly heavy cover of Spit by Kittie

Fresh from the release of her own killer single Church Outfit last month, Poppy has just shared a brand-new cover.

Poppy has tackled 1999 rager Spit – the title-track from Canadian nu-metallers Kittie’s debut album – in gloriously heavy style, with a dazzling video to match.

Teasing the cover on Instagram last week, Poppy’s rendition was met with approval by Kittie themselves, who commented a mind-blown emoji.

Fans of both artists are loving the tribute, too, with one YouTube commenter enthusing: “HER VOICE FITS THIS SO WELL” and another writing: “The original song is already amazing, but Poppy makes it even better with her unique way.”
