Potential “Massive Coronavirus Testing Arrangements” For Glastonbury 2021

After stating back in August that he'll be "moving heaven and earth" to try and make Glastonbury 2021 happen, organiser Michael Eavis has suggested that there could be "massive coronavirus testing arrangements" at next year's event.

Though he initially seemed less optimistic about the 50th anniversary celebration of Glastonbury after the cancellation of this year's festival, several months down the line Michael has now implied that multiple COVID-19 tests for Glasto-goers could seen the 2021 edition go ahead.

"The testing is going so well now, there could be massive testing arrangements," he pondered at a Q&A event as part of the Wells Festival of Literature on the evening of October 21 (via Glasto Fest Feed).

The organiser then questioned: "Do we want to test 200,000 people three times – when they leave their home, when they’re halfway here, and when they get to the [festival] gate – so that we’re clear of COVID?"

Though he didn't give any hints as to who could be playing Glasto 2021, Michael was asked about who he would like to return to the festival one day, to which he responded: "I would like to get Fleetwood Mac to come actually […] So that’s my one wish I would say."

He added that he talks to them every year, "but it's never quite right, or the money's not right…"
