In a list Kerrang! made of rock, punk, and metal songs inspired by Stephen King, Pennywise’s self-titled track makes an obvious reference to King’s clown from IT. It’s not too evident in the actual song, though, but it does have the lines, “Evil lurks in his eyes / The clown they call Pennywise.” Pretty creepy for band with a SoCal skate-punk sound. There are also the morbid lines in their classic track Fun and Games: “It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt / It’s all fun and games till sorrow / It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt / It’s all fun and games.”
