Royal Blood announce intimate UK summer shows

Royal Blood have just announced what will presumably be their first proper gigs since the coronavirus pandemic started: the Brighton duo will be performing four intimate UK dates this summer.

Before the head off into arenas next year, Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher will be taking ace new album Typhoons to Bristol, Newcastle, Norwich and Hastings in July and August, with support coming from Tigercub. Surrounding these dates, Royal Blood will also be headlining Sheffield's Tramlines Festival and Portsmouth's Victorious Festival. Tickets go on sale these Friday, July 9, from 9am.

Speaking to Kerrang! ahead of the release of Typhoons, Ben enthused of Royal Blood's desire to return to the stage and why playing live is so important: "It’s just so much fun being in a band. When you get behind a drum kit and there’s a bass player and a guitarist or whatever, and you’re really gelling and you’re jamming, it’s a feeling you could never get on your own as an independent artist if you were behind a computer. Those moments are so precious.”
