Saves The Day are going full introspective with their upcoming new album 9. When they dropped the first single, Rendezvous, the band announced that 9 was actually a concept album of sorts -- one that would tell their story from start to finish.

Now, Saves The Day have released a video for Side By Side, which recreates the band’s formation: from one kid in his garage to five musicians coming together at a punk show.

In his recent interview with Kerrang!, frontman Chris Conley described the track: “There was never once an ‘original line-up’ aside from me and [co-founding drummer] Bryan Newman, when we were 13 years old...Side By Side is about Bryan calling me up in eighth grade and saying, ‘Come over and bring your guitar.’ I went over that weekend and started playing, and the rest is history.”

Saves The Day’s 9 drops October 26th via Equal Vision Records. Pre-order it here.
