Sepultura announce final, four-track EP, The Cloud Of Unknowing
Gearing up to call it a day, Sepultura will release final EP The Cloud Of Unknowing in April – stream new single The Place now…
Sepultura are going back to their roots (bloody roots) for their last ever show in Brazil after over 40 years as a band.
Sepultura have announced the date of their final ever show, which is taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The metal legends will bring their illustrious career - and lengthy final world tour - to an end on November 7 at the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu in Brazil’s most populous city.
“After more than 40 years marking the history of world heavy metal, Sepultura bids farewell to the stage for good,” reads a translated version of a statement shared online.
Metal Allegiance - the supergroup featuring Dream Theater’s Mike Portnoy, Testament’s Chuck Billy and Alex Skolnik, Mastodon’s Troy Sanders – are supporting, alongside Sacred Reich and fellow Brazilians Krisiun.
Sepultura are also welcoming back former members of the band including drummer Jean Dolabella and guitarist Jairo Guedz. Guitarist Andreas Kisser publicly said as far back as 2024 that he hoped to do this, but don’t expect to see the Cavalera brothers there as Max and Iggor reportedly turned down his invitation.
Sepultura’s last headline show in the UK took place in November 2024, but they’ll be coming back for one final performance here at Bloodstock this August. Prior to that, they’ll also be out on the European festival circuit this summer.
They dropped their final EP The Cloud Of Unknowing in April.
