Lovable Aussie scamps The Chats have followed up this year's ace debut album High Risk Behaviour with a tribute single to AC/DC.

The band's latest effort, which goes by the name ACϟDC CD, hears vocalist and bassist Eamon Sandwith singing about 'the second-greatest band in history', implying that he plays their music loud 'twice a day, seven days a week'.

Explaining where his love for Acca Dacca first came from, Eamon tells Triple J, "My dad took my to the Sanity in Logan and I purchased my first CD with my own money, which was Back In Black by AC/DC.

"I was utterly blown away at how hard this band could rock, and I played it in the car every day to and from primary school. I still fucking love Acca Dacca so I wrote this song as a tribute to one of the world's rocking-est bands, AC/DC."

Previously, guitarist Josh Price told Kerrang! of The Chats' sound and influence: "Punk rock’s not a genre of music, it’s more of an attitude. We do have that rebellious attitude I guess, but we’re influenced by AC/DC and a lot of other Aussie rock bands like The Saints, The Angels and Radio Birdman. If you had to pick a genre for us to sit in, it’s just rock’n’roll. Either that or shed rock."
