Brendon Urie Pledges $1 Million To Support America's LGBT Youth

Following the launch of Brendon Urie's non-profit human rights organisation, Highest Hopes Foundation, the Panic! At The Disco man has now pledged $1million to GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network).

“For years my fans have inspired me with their determination and creativity as they have created a safe and inclusive community,” he says in a statement. “I felt the time had come for me to join them boldly, to bring that energy and power to bear on the huge challenges facing our whole society.”

GLSEN – pronounced 'glisten' – is America's largest advocacy group, focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for LGBTQ students. See more info right here.

Meanwhile, of Brendon's own new organisation, he says: All of you show me strength, courage and motivation, and as a result it felt important to create something to show you that I see the wonderful things you're doing out there in the world. With that being said, I want to join in on the fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.”

What a hero.
