Culture Abuse Release Cover Of Police On My Back
San Francisco punks Culture Abuse have released a recording of the track Police On My Back.
The song was originally recorded by The Equals and was famously covered by The Clash on their 1980 album Sandinista!.
“We’ve been playing this song live for the last year,” says Culture Abuse frontman David Kelling. “Then right after we recorded Bay Dream we were partying with Zac (Carper, FIDLAR) and thought it would be fun to try and tackle it together. We went into the studio hungover, the morning after we played with FIDLAR in LA and knocked this out, mostly live, with some wild overdubbing.”
The band will tour the UK from October 17, with support from Gouge Away. Have a lovely time at the following venues:
17 Southampton Joiners
18 Birmingham Actress & Bishop
19 Nottingham, Bodega
20 Leeds Key Club
21 Brighton Hope & Ruin
22 Bristol Exchange
23 Glasgow King Tuts
24 Manchester Star & Garter
25 London Boston Music Room
San Francisco punks Culture Abuse have decided “to no longer continue with this band” following allegations of sexual misconduct regarding frontman David Kelling.
