Watch Dropkick Muprhys’ Full St. Patrick’s Day Performance Right Here

Enjoy Dropkick Murphys’ full St. Patrick’s Day set, livestreamed in the face of coronavirus.

More than one punk has noticed that the quarantine imposed to combat the spread of COVID-19 includes St. Patrick’s Day, a celebration of all things Irish. For Irish Americans, this holiday is honored with one unique event in particular: the Dropkick Murphys playing a rousing set of Irish punk songs to a rabid audience. But in the face of quarantine, rather than cancel or postpone their most infamous show of the year, the Murphys decided to livestream their performance, which you can now watch in full below.

Like Code Orange before them, Dropkick have decided to simply play to an empty room for their set. Sure, the venue lacks the true atmosphere of a St. Patty’s Day show — unless people arrange it with their spouse or roommate, there isn’t beer spilled on them or lyrics screamed in their faces — but the core sentiment of a live Murphys set is still very present. More than anything, there’s a heartwarming sympathy to this show being streamed live, a sense that Dropkick know that their performance means something especially important to a lot of people on this day.
